# Peers and Seeds

**Mainnet** · Chain ID `celestia`

| Connection             | BlockPro value                                |
| ---------------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| Consensus peer | Not published yet; the existing page says TBD |
| Seed                   | Not published yet                             |
| DA bridge multiaddress | Not published yet |

Consensus peers use `node_id@host:port`. DA peers use libp2p multiaddresses. They are not interchangeable.

## Use the official seed list

Download the seed list for this network; stop if the URL does not return a valid list.

```bash
curl -fL --retry 3 -o "$HOME/celestia-seeds.txt" https://raw.githubusercontent.com/celestiaorg/networks/master/celestia/seeds.txt
```

Inspect the seed addresses.

```bash
cat "$HOME/celestia-seeds.txt"
```

Format the addresses as a comma-separated value.

```bash
tr '\n' ',' < "$HOME/celestia-seeds.txt" | sed 's/,$//'
```

Set seeds inside the existing \[p2p] section. Add persistent\_peers only for deliberately selected peers.

```bash
nano "$HOME/.celestia-app/config/config.toml"
```

Restart after saving a valid configuration.

```bash
sudo systemctl restart celestia-appd
```
