# Useful Commands

**Mainnet · `celestia`**

Everyday service, key, token and validator operations on one page. Commands use the homes and service names in our installation guides.

Use the `validator` account name and `file` keyring from our setup. Replace address and fee placeholders before use. Transaction confirmation remains interactive. **1 TIA = 1,000,000 utia**; keep additional funds for fees.

```bash
curl -fsS http://127.0.0.1:26657/status | jq '.result.sync_info'
```

### Peer count

df -h "$HOME/.celestia-app"
```
### Data size
Measure consensus data usage.
```bash
du -sh "$HOME/.celestia-app/data"
```
## Key management
These are celestia-app operator accounts. DA keys use `cel-key`; consensus signing keys are separate.
### Create
Create an encrypted operator wallet; store its recovery phrase offline.
```bash
celestia-appd keys add validator --keyring-backend file
```
### Recover
Recover an existing wallet through the interactive prompt.
```bash
celestia-appd keys add validator --recover --keyring-backend file
```
### List
List local operator wallets.
```bash
celestia-appd keys list --keyring-backend file
```
### Account address
Show the account address.
```bash
celestia-appd keys show validator -a --keyring-backend file
```
### Validator address
Show the validator operator address.
```bash
celestia-appd keys show validator --bech val -a --keyring-backend file
```
### Rename
Rename the local key and use the new name in later commands.
```bash
celestia-appd keys rename validator validator-new --keyring-backend file
```
## Tokens
### Set gas price
Replace the placeholder with a gas price accepted by your network, including the utia denomination.
```bash
GAS_PRICE="YOUR_GAS_PRICE_IN_UTIA"
```
### Balance
Read an account balance.
```bash
celestia-appd query bank balances YOUR_ACCOUNT_ADDRESS --node http://127.0.0.1:26657 -o json
```
### Send
Send 1 TIA and review the destination before confirming.
```bash
celestia-appd tx bank send validator YOUR_RECIPIENT_ADDRESS 1000000utia \
  --chain-id celestia \
  --node http://127.0.0.1:26657 \

  --gas-prices "$GAS_PRICE"
```
### Delegate
Delegate 1 TIA to the chosen validator.
```bash
celestia-appd tx staking delegate YOUR_VALOPER_ADDRESS 1000000utia \
  --from validator \
  --chain-id celestia \

  --gas-prices "$GAS_PRICE"
```
### Withdraw rewards
Withdraw rewards from the chosen validator.
```bash
celestia-appd tx distribution withdraw-rewards YOUR_VALOPER_ADDRESS \
  --from validator \
  --chain-id celestia \
  --node http://127.0.0.1:26657 \
  --keyring-backend file \
  --gas auto \
  --gas-adjustment 1.5 \
  --gas-prices "$GAS_PRICE"
```
### Unbond
