# Useful Commands

Monad service, RPC and storage commands.

## Service operations

### Status

Inspect all node services.

```bash
sudo systemctl status monad-bft monad-execution monad-rpc --no-pager -l
```

### Consensus logs

Follow consensus activity.

```bash
sudo journalctl -u monad-bft -f -o cat
```

### Execution logs

Inspect state execution.

```bash
sudo journalctl -u monad-execution -f -o cat
```

### Stop

Stop the three node services.

```bash
sudo systemctl stop monad-bft monad-execution monad-rpc
```

### Start

Start the services.

```bash
sudo systemctl start monad-bft monad-execution monad-rpc
```

### Version

Show the RPC release tag.

```bash
monad-rpc -V
```

### Package hold

Confirm consensus version pinning.

```bash
apt-mark showhold
```

## RPC checks

### Chain ID

Expected result: 0x8f.

## Storage and cleanup

### TrieDB usage

Inspect raw database utilization and timelines.

```

### Filesystem usage

Check the OS and ledger disk.

```bash
df -h /home/monad
```

### Cleanup timer

Check the package’s artifact cleanup schedule.

```bash
systemctl status monad-cruft.timer --no-pager
```

## Validator operations

Open the official staking CLI from its configured environment for delegation, commission, withdrawal and validator queries. Verify Mainnet and your validator ID before signing.
